Maaya Ittr began not in a boardroom, but in a moment of necessity. After years of synthetic perfumes causing serious harm, founder Smita Chatterjee travelled to the heart of Kannauj – India’s perfume capital – and discovered a 1,000-year-old craft on the verge of being lost. Maaya Ittr exists to revive it, honour it, and carry it to the world.
